One day last summer a woman saw a cat carrying a puppy in its mouth through her mobile home park. She thought the worst until she realized that the cat was actually stealing the puppy and was taking it home. Other neighbors had also seen this and they were becoming concerned. Each day she would run across the park, grab another puppy in her teeth, and take it home.

In news of the absurd, a herd of eight donkeys were jailed for four days in Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern India. Shockingly, this was done without a proper arrest and without due process. Chances are they were also never read their rights -- oh, right, that's what happens in the U.S. Of course we don't usually arrest donkeys in the first place.

During a climactic shift, modern man first began to climb the evolutionary ladder in Africa. With lighter skeletons and larger brains, we outpaced our ancestors rather quickly, based on our ability to adapt to our environment more efficiently.
