There is one thing that really says Christmas to me -- Sweden. With this gorgeous Christmas Dala Horse Ornament I go straight back to my childhood.
One of my godmothers (yeah, I had two) was from Sweden and so when I was young we would trade hosting Christmas Eve with her family. So my Christmases were filled with all sorts of Swedish things, including a Swedish Santa, lutefisk (just say no), pickled ham (just say yes), and the image of dala horses dancing in my head.
Dala horses are a traditional folk art in Sweden and they are usually carved from wood and painted bright red or orange. This blown glass dala horse makes a great tribute to Swedish culture.
P.S. The masks I wear when I go out have dala horses on them.
