Seahorses are incredible creatures -- from the resemblance of their heads to the land mammals they are named for to the fact that the males are the ones that get pregnant.
Seahorses are related to pipefish and can differ in size from a tiny .6" to as big as 14". They have prehensile tails so that they can hold on to things in strong currents and they are one of few fish that can swim vertically.
