This incredible looking bird is a Golden Laced Sebright Chicken. It is a British breed of chicken that has been spread world wide.
It was bred by Sir John Saunders Sebright who was a baronet and member of Parliament in the late 18th and earliest 19th centuries. Some of his breeding work inspired the career of Charles Darwin and his ground-breaking work in the science of evolution.
