You know how it is as a pet owner -- sometimes those animals can really get in your hair. For one little girl names Emma this recently took on a very literal meaning when the family's beloved pet lizard managed to wriggle its way into one of her braids. When Emma realized what had happened she began to scream and a great deal of confusion ensued.
As in any normal household it was Mom to the rescue, which was harder than you might think. Those same braids were decorated with numerous flower clips and pins. While Emma continued to freak out, Mom reassures her daughter as she methodically removed all necessary hardware and software.to release the bearded dragon.
No one is sure how the reptile managed to get into her braid. Some have suggested that perhaps it was done purposely as a stunt, but that would entail a great deal of complicity on the part of the animal. I think that it was more likely just a nice, warm, snug place for a cold-blooded lizard to cozy up for a bit.
Once the little dragon was freed from its rather bizarre predicament it climbed to the top of Emma's head. The screams instantly turned to laughter as little feet tickled her scalp. The lizard seemed no worse for wear and completely unfazed by all the screaming and carrying on. It anything it looked a bit reluctant over leaving its nice niche.
It makes me glad that the worst I've had it was a cat who kept trying to wash my hair with her tongue. I usually had to remove my hair from her mouth because it was longer than she could handle.
