Winn Feline Foundation Cures4Cats Day 2017
Cures4Cats Day furthers the studies into feline illnesses

This October, the Winn Feline Foundation (WFF) will be going all out in celebration of their 50th anniversary with an annual awareness day dedicated to highlighting the non-profit organization’s research, along with the need for evidence-based medicines and early-stage biomedical research. If you’re not familiar with WFF, they have been funding research studies since 1968 in an effort to better treat and save the lives of felines to the tune of more than $6 million with more than 30 partner institutions around the world.

Feline Studies

They are serious about improving the health and lives of cats. “Every cat, every day benefits from Winn-funded research,” said Dr. Vicki L. Thayer, DVM, DABVP (feline), Winn’s executive director. “We are grateful to our dedicated donors, board members, and researchers who are committed to Winn’s mission and aim to provide all cats with a healthy future.” Their support extends to veterinarians and students as well. Without institutions like Winn to advance these investigations, medical knowledge concerning cats would be severely stifled.

50th Anniversary Book

To help kick off Cures4Cats Day, Winn’s new 50th anniversary book is going to be made available to the public for the first time. The book highlights the important research that was made possible through Winn-funded studies and their global partners. Interested readers and cat lovers can learn more about their work by signing up for the Winn Wins Wednesday e-bytes, a weekly e-mail blast featuring information concerning the extensive research conducted so far.
