A curious kitteh whose eyes were NOT as big as its belly was successfully rescued by some awesomely uniformed Malaysian firefighters.

If you thought this was just another slow news day in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia, you probably weren't a certain panicked tabby cat. The feline in question somehow jambed er, jammed its head while attempting to traverse a roughly-cut hole in a wooden door.

According to Facebook member Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS, the distressed cat was discovered at the IKBN National Youth Training Institute of Bukit Mertajam with its head on one side of the door and the rest of its body on the other.

It's not known who or why someone perforated the door, only that the cat – unable to reach the doorknob – evidently attempted to leave one of the classrooms and was caught in mid-exit. Seeing as the cat was well and truly stuck, thoughtful staff and students called the Bukit Mertajam Fire and Rescue Station.

The station responded by sending at least four uniformed firefighters and... goodness gracious, check out those uniforms! Kinda part tabby, part tiger, part badass army camo! No doubt the cat was reassured by the arrival of its apparent cousins who proceeded to remove the door from its hinges, cut a square out of its base, and free the cat from its inadvertent confinement.

"Thank You Fireman Brother", stated Facebook poster Info Roadblock JPJ/POLIS, and can someone please advise us where to order one of those tiger-cat-camo uniforms please! (via Coconuts KL)
