Hey Wild Hogs, think the Eye of the Tiger's not good enough for ya? Cat-eared motorcycle helmets from Russian manufacturer Nitrinos motostudio ensure you look like a cheetah while blasting down the highway at similar speeds.
The Neko-Helmet (“neko” is “cat” in Japanese) from Nitrinos motostudio was originally designed for a Japanese cultural festival back in 2011. Response to the unusual cat-eared helmets was so positive, Togliatti, Russia-based Nitrinos decided to put it into production.
The Neko-Helmet features fiberglass cat-ears that are firmly affixed to the body of the helmet during normal use. In the event of an accident, the ears will detach from the helmet so as to not damage it. Nitrinos states that the design of the ears negates any wind resistance at speeds of up to 100km/h or 60mph.
The helmets come in a range of five sizes from XS through XL. Each Neko-Helmet comes equipped with a single light protective visor and an integral folding sun visor. The removable lining is made from 100% polyester and the helmets are double-ventilated for optimum comfort.
Nitrinos motostudio makes Neko-Helmets individually and per-order, so figure on waiting several weeks before your chosen design is ready for shipping. Four decorative options are available, priced from $495 to $600: single-color, two-color, three-color, and aerography.
The latter employs a process that shades the wearer's vision while offering a eye-popping, jaw-dropping, cat-like look that'll really rock the road! Learn more info and get details at the Nitrinos motostudio Neko-Helmet product page. (via Japan Today)
