Photography Awards celebrates its first year by announcing the
winners of its first competition, a lucky 13 photographs of the 1,502
submitted by photographers from 54 countries.  This wild European
hamster, captured by camera 'in flight,' won the top prize for

The American Public Health Association (APHA) has prepared 'Ready, Pet, Go,'
a public service calendar for kids and adults on the importance of
being prepared in case of an epidemic or natural disaster, occurrences
that are more prevalent every year.  The calendar is about teaching kids
(and adults!) protective tips through lessons learned from animals and

The Denver Zoo has had several animals temporarily added to its exhibits and they don't need feeding, veterinary services, or room to run. That is because these animals are amazing sculptures made of Lego® blocks by artist Sean Kenney. These incredible pieces of art will be on display at the zoo from now until November 1st.
