Veteran's Day is a time to remember those members of the military who died in war. World War I officially ended at 11 a.m. on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. In the years shortly thereafter the date became Veteran's Day in the United States and Remembrance Day in countries of the British Commonwealth. Red remembrance poppies are a symbol for the loss of human life. But humans were not the only ones lost. Animals lost in the service of war are now remembered with purple poppies.

Did you ever speculate if Jesus had pets and if so, was he a dog or cat
person? We know a lot about the baby Jesus and how that story relates to
the Christmas holidays, and of course the end of Jesus' life as it
pertains to Easter. But what about Jesus as a boy? What was his
preferences and how did he relate to the animals that walked the Earth
