Mothering pets is very special because pets give you direct and
immediate appreciation. Where else can you get that?  Pet mothers learn
much from their pets too, not just about mothering, but even about how
to be special to other people.  So this Mother's Day, why not give your
favorite pet moms something special to communicate your recognition of

When I saw the Gamma Skamper Ramp,
I was instantly reminded of a time last fall when I took my pup on a
play date to his friends' house.  While he was running around his
friends' yard, he fell into their backyard pool. Never having been in a
pool, he was scrambling to stay afloat and I jumped into the pool to
rescue him.  Sure, dogs are supposed to know how to swim instinctively,

I recently encountered a heartbreaking scene on a main street in my
neighborhood.  A car was stopped and a group of people were comforting a
woman.  Her black dog was lying lifeless in the road.  She had been
crossing the street with her two black dogs at a crosswalk, but the
driver had not seen them.

I was just sitting in my living room watching TV last night. I looked
over to my right to see my big dog splayed out all over the floor
snoring away. The sight of him made me laugh. It also inspired me to

When you purchase pet insurance, the insurance company generally charges
you a premium for certain breeds of cats and dogs, as well as the age of your pet and various other criteria.  The premiums on
Rottweilers and Siamese cats must be pretty high, because their
average claims are much higher than other dogs and cats.  Today, a pet insurance
comparison website released information on the Top 10 Most
Expensive Pets based on their average insurance claims.  I already
gave away two of the 10 breeds... can you guess the others?
