I've noticed that for some reason, cats like to get themselves into
small spaces. For this cat, the idea of fitting into a tiny tissue box
seems to be a fun challenge. But is the box too small? Watch what happens.

Cats have a tendency to sleep in the oddest places.  Boxes.  Piles of laundry.  The random book.  Computer keyboards.  All of these places are generally fine--except for the keyboard.  I've had my cat rewrite many a short story with gibberish.

The Massachusetts State Senate unanimously passed a bill on Tuesday that would require wholesalers of anti-freeze and engine coolants to add an unpleasant bitter taste to their products to prevent pets from drinking the poisonous liquid. Currently more than 90,000 pet deaths each year are attributed to the drinking of anti-freeze and coolants.

Angele Lazurko and Matthew Arbour of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, are facing animal cruelty charges after they left Lazurko's chocolate lab mix locked in a hot car. While they were shopping at the mall, the one-and-a-half-year-old dog suffered and died.

After months of watching, making introductions, and research, the
Smithsonian National Zoo welcomed its first pair of fishing cat
newborns. The cats, native to southern and southeast Asia, are
considered endangered as their population has dropped by 50 percent in
the past 18 years, due to degraded and settled wetland habitats in their
habitats, as well as commercial fisheries loading up on their prey.

What is now the third largest wildfire in Colorado history, the High Park fire has displaced many pets, a large amount of livestock, and even wolves. As room was running out for small animals at the Larimer County Humane Society, volunteers began coming forward to offer free room and board for pets, and even offering free bales of hay for livestock feed and bedding.
