Babies and puppies in the home are similar in one respect. They are both learning as they go and can be taught preferred behavior at an early age. But when the puppy enters the household in advance of the baby, it can be a daunting experience, particularly when the pooch feels neglected or it has lost some influence with its masters. Male cats are not known for their parenting skills. Many people believe that father cats should be kept away from their offspring because he might kill them. This is not the case.
