A team of researchers and conservationists from the Wildlife Conservation Society and the National Research Council of Argentina fitted a camera to the back of an imperial cormorant to get a glimpse of how the marine bird dives to the bottom of the ocean in search of food. The team is studying the birds to determine priority feeding areas for them.

As many as 100 peacocks have died in the desert in Pakistan and officials are investigating the cause. The wild peacocks were already weakened because of the delayed arrival of the annual monsoon rains which created a loss of safe drinking water. The birds have also been affected by starvation and deforestation, They have beome susceptible to viral and fungal infection.

I love to fly, but I purposefully put stuff like this out of my mind when I board an airplane.  Who would think that birds, which really don't weigh much at all, could cause damage this much damage to an aircraft?
