In Australia male alpacas are bred to become guards for herds of sheep and goats. If these animals are not bought by the time they are two years old then they are sold to become meat. One lucky little alpaca was too small to do guard duty but was saved from slaughter by being adopted as a pet for a boy named Matt. Now Chewpaca is one famous dude.

M*A*S*H is one of the most popular and iconic television shows ever produced. Even though it is about humans dealing with the realities of war near the front lines many animals made their way into the series. From Radar's menagerie to Colonel Potter's horse to a dog injured in combat these animals added an extra measure of humanity to the characters and to the show.
