Toroidal vortexes can be created by many methods. In this video you
will see many different types. But a majority of the content involves
dolphins and whales. And it is beautiful.
Wikipedia describes a toroidal vortex as "...a region where...fluid mostly spins around an imaginary axis
line that forms a closed loop. The dominant flow in a vortex ring is
said to be toroidal..." Dolphins and whales actually create vortices of this type and use them as toys.
Tell me that isn't just plain cool. I dare ya.
