It took me a while to discern what I was looking at here. People in
elaborate costumes came to mind at first--but then the dolphins came
along. And the rhino. Initially I thought that the T-rex was one of those elaborate suits--but no.... Check it out:
What's going on here is called 7D. What you just viewed was the video of what the people were seeing on a screen. Essentially it's just one big special effect. None of the computer generated animals are actually there. They are projected on a screen and the people are reacting to what they are seeing on a monitor that combines them with the images. This is really cool technology. But it has something of an ominous element to it. What if, in the future, this is the only way that we will ever be able to view extinct species?
