Silver Spoon Sundays: Turning Your Gem Of A Pet Into A Jewel

If you have the bucks to do it (and the inclination) you can now take the ashes or hair of your dearly departed and have them processed into a synthetic diamond in the color, shape, and setting of your choice. LifeGem has created the most unique and unusual pet memorial ever. LifeGem's website says "Our overall mission is to ease the grieving process by offering a memorial product of ultimate individuality, beauty, and comfort."

 LifeGemsLifeGems

Gems less than one carat will run you between about $2,500 and $20,000 per stone. Over one carat can run you up to $25,000 per stone. Of course, if you want more than one stone there are some volume pricing discounts.  So if you want your dearly departed with you forever and you have the money, you can click here for more information or to order.

These are amazing!!  I

These are amazing!!  I recently lost the biggest sweetest of boys.  Unfortuantely, the price range of a real diamond is out of reach (especially after all his medical bills!) but there are a few companies doing less expensive glass work.  Check this one out sometime:
