The Japanese are crazy about cats -- from their Cat Island to their many
cat cafes. The latest trend in Japan is cooking classes so that you can
learn to prepare special gourmet dishes that you and your cat can
enjoy together. ABC Cooking Studios and the Mon Petit brand of gourmet
cat food has teamed up to create this new and fun type of cooking class
for cat lovers.

The menu includes homemade tuna chunks in creamy tartar sauce, tuna and bonito carpaccio garnished with a touch of scallions, and a cold tuna and vegetable soup. The main dish is a lovely bit of grilled salmon with a creamy spinach sauce. I don't know why they stopped there and didn't go for a catnip sorbet for desert.

This sounds like a great way to spoil your cat even more than you already do with special treats and marathon cuddle sessions. This would give you a chance to make a shared dinner for the two (or more) of you for special occasions such as birthdays, Christmas, New Year's, or that special anniversary when the two of you first met.
I am now just wondering when my local Escoffier Culinary School will pick up on this trend. I'll be ready to pony up my tuition to make by Boo-Boo kitty even more spoiled than she already is.
