Dog shaming is not my thing; I just don't believe that pets are motivated to change by yelling, scolding, or punishment. Besides, dogs know when they do something wrong and they are already ashamed about it. But there's a fun and creative way to shame your dog and share it with the world.
Whether your dog shred your new living room curtains, or chewed up your infant's toys, or, did the inevitable poop on your best carpet... you can shame your dog without malice at Dog-Shaming.com, a venue for frustrated dog owners to share images of their dogs, including printed signs declaring their dirty deeds.
Some of the images and captions are really cute....
In case you cannot read the sign TJ holds, it reads: “My name is TJ. I pulled my mom face first into the disgusting Lachine Canal while chasing a gopher, stopping before I got wet myself. Everyone on the bike path and 2 kayakers pointed and laughed. My mom says if she is on YouTube, I will be free to a good home. Or any home. I feel very bad and ashamed (that I did not catch the gopher).”
Here's a little guy that really does eat his owner's homework!
Some of the photos are staged so well, they don't even need explanations....
Dog-Shaming is a delightful website and a great way for dog owners to express their creativity with the camera, and get all kinds of feedback from Tumblrs and Tweeters. Have fun with it! (Many thanks to Creature Features for the tip!)
