Assorted Material Design of Ben Roth

Sculpture artist Ben Roth of Jackson Hole, Wyoming has created an assortment of animal art using a variety of methods and materials. From wire sculpted animals, to plate layered animal designs, 2D animal art, and some that really defy description. Examine the intricacy of these animal sculptures in wire;

 Occasionally, our featured artists have some video of either there work or their process. Roth has both on his site, like these two turn-around videos of wire sculpted sandhill crane and moray eel wire sculpture.

Wire is not the only metallurgy that Roth has used to create fascinating animal design. Roth developed his appreciation for constructing and designing restaurants, and currently teaches other young artists to pursue their artistic visions, while himself designing furniture, wall hangings, sculpting.  Look at some respective examples of his work using animals as inspiration for his work.

The previously displayed animal pictures show Roth's strength in design. Additionally, here are a few strong examples of animal art in which Ben Roth demonstrates a strong use and understanding of materials. Roth has used plaster, bronze, wire, fiberglass, wood - the list goes on.
