Okay, I have a thing for cat hammocks, but it's only because I know how much cats love them. I've found three sturdy, soft, easy to access cat-reviewed hammocks to share with you today.
The three hammock models I have chosen are not loose-hanging like the ones I've covered before. These have more resistance to your cat's weight and don't sink as low, making them easier to get into and out of....
The Pidan Cat Hammock is elegant in its simplicity and pure cat-loving pleasure.
The sturdy beechwood frame provides the base and a soft absorbent all natural linen and cotton crib holds up to 22 pounds of lovable cat and is almost a 20 inch square. It will blend in with almost any furniture you have in your kitty's favorite room.
For the few customers who had a problem with the hammock's frame breaking while assembling it, Pidan came through with a new frame right away, so cat parents were really pleased with customer service. I loved this customer's review, in particular:
"My husband was barely done screwing the legs on when one of our younger cats decided to climb in. And NEVER climbed out. She will swat at the other cats for getting too close to -her- hammock. We gave up and ordered a second one."
This product has a one-year warranty from Pidan.
Another well-rated cat hammock, the Persuper Cat Hammock comes with an easily assembled wood frame and a breathable fitted material for the top.
The Persuper holds up to 15 pounds and comes with a dark gray or bright blue (below) mat, both washable.
Notice that the Persuper frame sits on brackets at the lengthwise ends. Some cat parents criticize this feature, saying that these brackets interfere with the hammock's flexibility. The Persuper does appear to 'sink' less than the Pidan Cat Hammock above, but it may be more comfortable for older cats and dogs who might struggle to get out of a deeper hammock.
Catoneer Cat Hammock (color: Vibrant)
Now the Catoneer Cat Hammock may not match your decor as well as the Pidan and the Persuper, above, but... forgive me for being old fashion... I like pure cotton and pure wood. I also like the fact that the Catoneer is long enough for our bigger guys to stretch out.
Catoneer Cat Hammock (color: Spring Plum)
If your cat is over 17 pounds or you are purchasing a hammock for multiple cats, the Pidan might be a better choice of hammocks. But all three of the hammocks above are superior products and good buys.
Whether it's a "free floating" hammock or a framed hammock like those above, hammocks are one of a cat's favorite sleeping spots.
That's the buzz for today!
