A stray cat sauntered into a Turkish TV studio, surprising the host of a live morning news show by jumping onto his desk and settling down on his laptop keyboard.
“Good Morning Denizli”, hosted by Kudret Çelebioğlu, is broadcast live from Denizli, a city of about 1 million in western Turkey. As Çelebioğlu was reading the day's headlines, a small bicolor tabby cat climbed onto his desk and quickly made itself at home.
As can be seen in the video of the event posted at the Daily Sabah website, Çelebioğlu was only slightly thrown off by the appearance of the uninvited visitor, which appeared to have entered the studio through an open door.
Çelebioğlu was forced to improvise, however, when the stray did what most cats will do when presented with a warm computer keyboard: climb aboard and settle down for the duration.
Unable to view his screen, Çelebioğlu switched gears by announcing the arrival of a “surprise visitor” and reminding viewers that with winter on its way, care should be taken towards stray and street cats who may be looking for food and shelter from the cold.
This particular scene-stealing kitty won't have that problem, however, as after the show concluded one of the station's staff members adopted the spotlight-seeking stray and named it Hüsnü.
