If it's weird for human beings to drink cow's milk, how to explain these seven strange milks that (at least according to their labels) are the products of some very un-cow-like creatures.

Weird, Wild & Unlikely Animal Milks

1) Batmilk

Weird, Wild & Unlikely Animal Milks

Craving a Dark Mid-Knight snack? Look no farther than Batmilk, the mas cremoso (“creamy”) dessert that actually is made with milk... though not from bats. Credit Brazilian dairy products company Batavo with formulating both this disturbingly-named comestible and its equally odd-sounding name. (animal milk images via Todd Kravos and Nate Cull

2) Catmilk

Weird, Wild & Unlikely Animal Milks

Catmilk is milk for cats. We repeat, Catmilk is FOR cats, not FROM cats, and don't assume that's obvious: at least one store had to post a sign in their cat food section stating “Please note, Cat milk does not come from cats.” Catmilk (one word), on the other hand, comes from Whiskas and is basically 98%-lactose-free cow's milk with cat-friendly supplements added. 3) Horse Milk

Weird, Wild & Unlikely Animal Milks

Most of us would just say neigh to milk from horses but consider this: Genghis Khan built the largest empire the world has ever seen using an army fueled by fermented mare's milk. No wonder those guys were so ornery. (animal milk image via Ryan McFarland)

4) Gorilla Milk

Weird, Wild & Unlikely Animal Milks

Gorilla Milk was a powdered “just add milk” meal-replacement drink that came in Chocolate, Chocolate Malt, Vanilla, and Strawberry flavors... what, no Banana?? You'd think kids of the late 1960s would have eaten, er, drank this stuff up but Pillsbury ended up re-marketing their space-age instant breakfast drink as... Instant Breakfast. 5) Panda Milk

Weird, Wild & Unlikely Animal Milks

How cute, a can of condensed panda milk! They had to condense it, you see, as fresh panda milk is so wonderfully light and fluffy it simply floats away on a fragrant breeze and... that's when we woke up. Sorry to burst your bubble, bub, but Panda brand condensed milk is neither cute, cuddly nor particularly tasty even though it's been sweetened. 6) Eagle Milk

If “trade wars are easy to win,” then we can expect all-American Eagle Milk to “shut down” made-in-China Panda Milk by a yuuuge margin. It all depends on one side resisting the urge to bamboo-zle the other, of course. That's what Xi said. (animal milk image via theimpulsivebuy

7) Badger Cheese

Weird, Wild & Unlikely Animal Milks

Who needs Venezuelan Beaver Cheese? We don' need no stinkin' beaver cheese, we got stinkin' Badger Cheese... presumably made from wholesome badger milk in – where else – the Badger State! That said, we doubt any Cheesehead dairy farmer would deign to milk a badger without first donning a Green Bay Packers (or better yet, a UW Badgers) uniform complete with full padding and helmet.
