“We were experimenting with different things and one of the designers came-up with it,” explained Radley founder Lowell Harder. “We hung it off a bag and people loved it.” Would the public also love a giant golden Scottie Dog, especially if it was tied to prizes that could be claimed inside the company's flagship Floral Street store? Of course they would – what's not to love?

So it was that on February 18th, in conjunction with the London Chinese New Year Parade, a giant golden glittering Scottie Dog statue took pride of place on a quaint cobbled street in historic Covent Garden. Passersby could press the flesh with four real Scottie dogs and as a bonus, could uncover a special prize inside one of Radley London's traditional red envelopes.
