The U.S. Coast Guard Academy's Puppy Palooza invites salty dogs and poopdeck pups to meet this year's Coast Guard cadets at the Academy's annual Sports and Wellness Day.

The annual event is held at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT, and offers hard-working Coast Guard cadets some hand-on "therapy" with a variety of canine companions ranging from young pups to proverbial "salty sea dogs". If any of the pets don't know what the poop deck is really all about, they're about to find out!

Students from Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School in New London got to share the puppy love this year, joining some of the cadets participating in the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's annual Sports and Wellness Day on April 15th of 2016. By all accounts, everyone had a "ruff" time (that's a good thing) and both two-legged and four-footed landlubbers gratefully returned their sea-legs once the Puppy Palooza came to a close.
