Chances are that you have never seen a swan in flight, or, if you did, you didn't know that you were looking at a swan. You probably thought it was a goose.
This is a Tundra Swan. It breeds in the arctic and sub-arctic as the name implies. When colder weather sets in it migrates south to warmer climes, sometimes as far south as Texas. This gorgeous photo was taken by Woody Green.
