No pets in the White House? Don't tell Kellyanne Conway, whose patriotic 'Trump Revolutionary Wear' coat sports a double row of metallic cat-head-shaped buttons.
Conway, Trump's former campaign manager and current Counselor to the President, was celebrating her 50th birthday on the same day Donald Trump was being inaugurated as America's 45th president. Obviously such an auspicious occasion had to be celebrated in style, and in Conway's case the style came courtesy of iconic fashion designer Gucci.
Though mocked by many who compared Conway's bold red white & blue wrapper to Napoleon, the New England Patriots old mascot and Paddington Bear to name just a few, the former New Jersey Blueberry Princess achieved her goal of making a memorable impression while boosting her boss's profile.
Pet-lovers of all political stripes can appreciate one of the coat's more singular features: two vertical rows of five cat-head buttons. Was this a visual reply to one of Trump's more outrageous recorded statements? Only Kellyanne knows for sure and she's not telling!
Dedicated followers of fashion who also follow Trump's vision for America can do more than admire Conway's cat-head-button coat – they can buy one for themselves, should they have a spare $3,600 burning a hole in their pocketbooks. The Gucci website is offering the “Wool A-line Coat” for sale, though be advised it's a size 40.
To quote the product page's copy, “The feline head, a recurring animal motif, decorates the front panel of this a-line coat.” Not sure exactly what they're trying to say but whatever, those cat head buttons rock! Oh by the way... Conway's patriotic item of Trump Revolutionary Wear is made in Italy. (via HuffPost and LA Times)
