Students writing exams at a Chinese college were monitored by an all-seeing, all-knowing and all-purring cat invigilator.
What the heck is an “invigilator”, you ask? Luckily that question won't appear on any examinations, tests or pop quizzes because even WE had to look it up:
“An exam invigilator, exam proctor or exam supervisor is someone who is appointed by the examination board and services for maintaining the proper conduct of a particular examination in accordance with the exam regulations.” Definitely the type of job you'd assign to a cat, amiright?
Maybe you wouldn't but Nanjing Agricultural University in eastern China's Jiangsu province did – or so it would appear – and photos of the monitoring mouser in action have gone viral.
Though its doubtful any cheaters were called out (or clawed out, in this case) by the tabby TA, at least the pet's presence served to soothe the nerves of attending students who stated the classroom kitty was the “cutest invigilator ever”. No telling if they still thought so once they received their marks.
