Feline Innovations The QuickSnap Replaceable Cat Scratcher

Feline Innovations The QuickSnap Replaceable Cat Scratcher

A company called Feline Innovations has innovated a handsome cat scratcher with removable scratching surfaces that come in three different fabrics - so your cat can scratch what he likes best.

QuickSnap Replaceable Cat Scratcher

The QuickSnap Replaceable Cat Scratcher is a handsome piece. The solid 1/2 inch curved wood base with a nice wood finish is covered by a long strip of fabric-based sisal that clips to the wood base - a very practical idea!  The sisal scratching pad that comes with the QuickSnap can be replaced when worn with another sisal mat or, if your cat prefers, a carpeted or seagrass mat.

If you have a small to medium cat this 22.5 x 9.5 x 10.2 inch scratcher will work well. Larger cats might need more room to spread out, not necessarily in length, but in width, as 9.5 inches does not give large cats enough width. A wider scratcher would also add greater stability to the scratcher.

The "toy holder" below the QuickSnap may have been intended as a hammock originally, as it is photographed with cats lying on it. But clearly it can not function as a hammock for a cat larger than a tiny kitten. As a toy holder for cat toys, which tend to be lightweight anyway, it's probably more appropriate, and I actually think it would be convenient.

If you would like to try all three scratcher types with the cat scratcher, you can get a combination package that includes three different scratchers plus the Feline Innovations Frame. Otherwise you can buy the starter kit here.

That's the buzz for today!
