A stuffed shades-wearing goat is the unofficial corporate mascot of Eaze, a San Francisco-based on-demand medical marijuana service backed by Snoop Dogg.
Why a grass-eating goat and not a blissfully buzzed pooch, one might ask – there are plenty of the latter to chose from on the internet. Or a lion for that matter: Snoop (birth name Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr.) adopted the stage name Snoop Lion in 2013 after being re-christened by a Rastafarian priest in Jamaica. The Doggfather would appear to have naming rights as his investment vehicle, Casa Verde Capital, has been an investor in Eaze since April of 2015. Good to see Snoop's putting his money where his mouth is.
Which brings us back to the goat. The only explanation extant appears to emanate from Instagram member centerofthegraph aka Sam Rahimi. “How and when this stuffed goat ended up in the Eaze office with a hat on it's head, nobody is quite sure - but we are all happy with our unofficial mascot,” states Rahimi, evidently a company employee.
“Why a goat and not some other animal like a walrus?,” adds Rahimi, though we believe a walrus is already the unofficial mascot of Ambien. “I have no idea... do goats smoke marijuana??? Probably not. But they certainly eat grass!” Indeed they do... and all things considered it's a good thing this goat's already stuffed. (via The Cannifornian)
