An Irish Wolfhound from Belgium has been formally recognized by Guinness World Records as having the longest tail on a dog.

Dog's Tail Certified By Guinness As Being World's Longest

Irish Wolfhounds are large as dogs go and Keon, canine member of the Thys family from Belgium, is typical of the breed. Keon's tail, however, is not quite so typical due to its astonishing length: 30.2 inches (76.8 cm) from the tip of the tail's top bone to the end of the tail tip, hair not included. That's a notable 1.7 inches longer than the previous record length, as certified by Guinness World Records.

He sure looks like a happy, playful pooch... just don't be in the line of fire when his tail starts wagging! (via UPI)
