Cat-shaped 'Narageta' sandals put the puss in your boots, causing friends and family members to Shrek with joy every time you wear 'em.
“The fog comes on little cat feet” and now you can too, just by slipping into a pair of Nyarageta cat-shaped sandals! This new take on traditional Japanese geta sandals is brought to you by Nara-based footwear firm Narageta – as in “geta” from the city of “Nara”.
Adding the Japanese “nyaa” (that's “meow” in English) and you've got Nyarageta... and a neat, nifty way to make tracks this summer.
Nyarageta sandals employ some welcome adaptations that enhance their appeal to modern-day wearers. Chiefly, the soles are made from water-resistant and foam-based EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) plastic – itself a safe and durable upgrade from PVC.
As for style, they're a cut above boring old flip-flops though those who aren't fans of the classic “toe grip” are going to be disappointed all over again.
Sandal-shopping cat fanciers can choose between three new-for-2019 Nyarageta motifs that each pay homage to a popular breed of cat: Toraneko (Tabby or “Tiger”), Mikineko (Japanese Bobtail, aka Calico), and Kuroneko (Black).
Please visit the Nyarageta product page for more info on these cute cat-shaped sandals, even if your fave cat isn't listed above: they've got other colors and patterns in stock.
