The dodo bird was indigenous to the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. The birds were flightless and weighed about 30 pounds. They had no natural predators -- that is until humans arrived and brought with them cats, dogs, pigs, and rats. The last dodo was sighted in the mid-17th century. Now you can cuddle this extinct creature.
