This awesomely meta cat from Japan has a natural marking on its nose that looks like a miniature resting black cat. So, how does it smell? Quite well, thank you.
Unlike other such examples of pareidolia (aka, “that cloud looks like Elvis!” syndrome), this cat's freaky facial marking appears to grow more realistic the closer one gets. Even slight variations in the dark pigment conspire to create the illusion of a tiny black cat crouching across the face of an otherwise average tuxedo cat.
The cat is seen in the company of three other cats – two black & white tuxedo cats and a grey tabby – inside a fenced yard that could be anywhere... urban, suburban or rural. The cats appear to be young and may be from the same litter, though only one has won the genetic lottery Xzibit-style.
Kudos to Twitter member @TOKAITRICK_bot for chancing upon this rather unique kitty, posting images of its cute cat-embossed face, and NOT blabbing out its location. Certainly this cat is someone's pet and both owner and own-ee deserve their privacy. (via WENN)
