Canines Competing To Become America's Top Superhero

[Unfortunately, Boomer, the Border Collie did not make the cut,
even though the residents of Beaufort SC think he is pretty darn super!]

Public voting opens in June to select finalists for the 2019 American Humans Hero Dog Awards®. Yup. Americans have spoken to the tune of a half million votes across our country. The ballot box now shows 21 courageous canines [out of 361] have advanced to the super semifinals.

Ninth Year . . .

They will now compete on the Hallmark Channel in its 9th year to select the best of the best. The two-hour special will be aired this fall in conjunction with the network's pet adoption advocacy initiative, Hallmark Channel's Adoption Ever After. The HCAEA's goal is to empty animal shelters and end this country's epidemic of pet homelessness.

The public is invited to visit now until July 18 to vote once per day in each of the seven Hero Dog categories. The finalists will proceed to travel to Los Angeles to take part in the star-studded ninth annual Hero Dog Awards gala on October 5 at the Beverly Hilton. There they will be chosen as the 2019 American Hero Dog, the top honor a dog can receive in our country.
