Got a fever for hot creatures from sci-fi double features? Well, you just might be a red-blooded Godzilla fan(atic)... not that there's anything wrong with that. That said, those suffering from irradiated kaiju overload can chill out with the Burning Godzilla Humidifier – a smokin' hot update of the original (and previously reviewed) Godzilla Humidifier.
The Burning Godzilla Humidifier was inspired by the titular character from the domestically-released 1995 blockbuster film “Godzilla vs Destoroyah”. OK, so the flick might not have been a literal blockbuster but Big 'Zill busts plenty of city blocks – as one annoyed revived prehistoric monster does.
In any case, the film's most memorable special effect involves Godzilla's internal radioactivity rising to critical levels: his beady eyes blaze, his body burns like a jumbo charcoal briquette, and he exhales red-hot “Burn Spiral Breath” – kindly illuminated for your pleasure with an internal orange LED light.
As fiery as it may appear, Burning Godzilla's awesome atomic breath blast (dude, have a mint) is actually made up of cooling and humidifying mist; albeit boosted to 1.5 times the volume of the original Godzilla Humidifier because er, Global Warming or something. Yeah, that's the ticket!
The Burning Godzilla Humidifier holds up to 2.4 fluid ounces (just over 70 ml.) of water that allow for 3 hours of continuous use. You'll know when the internal reservoir is depleted when your humidifier begins playing sound effects and theme music from “Godzilla vs Destoroyah”... or, like, when Godzilla stops breathing steam. These sounds also play whenever you turn the device ON or OFF so you'd better get used to it – humidity has a price, and this is it.
Special operating features include intermittent or continuous misting, an adjustable sound volume control, and a “roar” based on that of the iconic original Godzilla.
