Bissell Stomp 'N Go Pet Lifting Pads

Bissell Stomp 'N Go Pet Stain Lifting Pads

Bissell has a mission to remove pet stains as well as just about any other stain from your floors and carpets.  And it has a variety of products that do the trick. I've picked two for lazy pet owners like myself: Bissell Stomp 'N Go Pet Stain Lifting Pads and Bissell Pro Oxy Stain Destroyer

The Bissell Stomp 'N Go Pet Stain Lifting Pads are miracle pee stain removers that even work on old stains. It doesn't get much easier than these pads....

The pads are super for picking up urine stains; I can attest to that. Just press one of the 4 by 8. 25 inch pads on the stain and "stomp." (Placing a foot on the pad and pressing down will work.) You can leave the Lifting Pad on for as little as 30 minutes if you're in a hurry... but I leave it on longer if no one will disturb it. Twenty pads come in a box.

Customers are, for the most part, thrilled with the Pad's performance on pee stains as well as other hard to remove stains. And I would not hesitate to use these pads on stains on any carpet in my home or automobile. (Bet you have some stains there too!)

Though the Stomp 'N Go Pet Lifting Pads get rave reviews from customers, some were concerned that a few of the pads in the box were dry. If that should happen, a Lifting Pad can easily be refreshed with a few squirts of water from a spray bottle.

I have not tested the Stomp 'N Go on anything but pet urine; however, Consumer Reports has. The publication conducted a very tough test using ketchup, wine, and other hard-to-remove stains to a white carpet and those stains were not thoroughly removed in 30 minutes. I'm not ready to test those stains on my own carpet, but I'm not so sure that if the tester had left the Pads on longer and maybe stomped some more, the spots would have a better chance of disappearing.

What Consumer Reports did like is Bissell's Pro Oxy Stain Destroyer, a spray which involves a bit more effort than a stomp.... but not too much.

Just shake and spray the spot. Then use a damp cloth to blot the spot. It might lift in 30 seconds, but if you have a little extra time, let it sit a little while longer and then blot until the spot is gone and the area is dry.

Here's a Bissell video demonstrating the product's effectiveness:

Fair enough to say that the stains in this video don't look like the worst imaginable spots that could show up on your carpet, but after you absorb as much stain as you can with a damp rag and lift off any lose pieces, customers say that the Bissell's Pro Oxy Stain Destroyer really does a great job.

One 14 ounce can may work on 5 or 6 spots but that, of course, depends on how heavy you spray and how large the spots. If you're looking at cost equivalents, I think the Bissell Stomp 'N Go Pet Stain Lifting Pads and Bissell's Pro Oxy Stain Destroyer give you equal value for their cost, depending on how large or small the spots are. For example, you may have a carpet spot that's larger than a Lifting Pad, so you might need two or more Stomp 'N Go Lifting Pads.

If you have old stains to remove, both the above Bissell products are reported to be effective. If you need help finding old spots, I highly recommend the Escolite UV Flashlight Black Light. It WILL find them!

That's the buzz for today!
