It was an original idea, creating adorable pajamas for Pitbulls, a breed that's not often referred to as 'adorable.'
Pajamas For Pitbulls are still handmade by their originator, Ms. Stephanie Karr, of Calgary, Alberta. Though others have copied her ideas and mass-manufacture dog pajamas, thousands of dog owners remain loyal to a home-based company that, since 2013, has been dedicated to improving the lives of Pitbulls.
Ms. Karr, who had sewn all her life, decided to sew some pajamas for her two pitties to keep them warm during the Alberta winters. She used colorful, cute fleece patterns which made the pitbulls look totally adorable and harmless, and people started to approach the dogs differently, remarking how cute they were, coming over to pet them, instead of crossing the street to stay clear of them. Her dogs had a great experience on their outings too, getting so much loving attention!
Her friends and acquaintances all wanted pajamas for their dogs, dogs of all kinds, big and small, and in 2013, Ms. Karr starting making dog pajamas to order. Word spread and spread and spread. Now, Karr's company sells thousands of customized pajamas to dog owners throughout the world. You pick one of the stocked fabrics (fleece or cotton), provide your dog's size information, order, and wait a few weeks for your dog's original Pajamas For Pitbulls.
Don't worry, male and female dogs are accommodated outdoors by the "onesie" ... (that leaves) openings in the belly and bum areas, so that both boys and girls are able to do their outside "business" with their pajamas on and stay clean to come in and lay by the fire or snuggle on the sofa."
