Nothing surprises me about parrots.  They are the most uncanny,
confounded creatures that ever brought endless joy, humor, and
destruction to a home.  Very smart, very demanding, and very active, you
need to keep them very busy, or they find a way to keep themselves
busy... You want to avoid the latter.

Raising expectations for a time in the not-so-distant future that same

I spent this evening researching biodegradable poop bags.  Maybe it
wasn't as much fun as what you did, but I did learn something and I'm
going to put it to use by purchasing some genuine biodegradable poop
bags for my cat and dog tomorrow.  One important thing I learned is that
most waste bags that advertise themselves as being biodegradable are
not!

A physics grad student at Georgia Tech, Andrew Dickerson, conducted an
interesting animal experiment in the hopes of it leading to a new design
for a washing machine or something, perhaps, that had not been invented
yet.  He studied the number of shakes it takes for various animals to
dry off.
